eBay to lower sellers' fixed-price fees.....

eBay will reduce the fees it charges to sellers to list fixed-price items, the online auctioneer is set to announce Wednesday.

The move, which will take effect September 16, is intended to help eBay compete better with online retail rivals such as Amazon.com, as well as reduce its dependency on auctions.

Under the new pricing plan, sellers who offer fixed-price items in eBay's "Buy It Now" format will pay only 35 cents to list an item for 30 days, a 70 percent reduction in upfront fees. The online auctioneer is also expected to announce that most customers will no longer be allowed to pay by check or cash--only a credit card or eBay's PayPal payment service will be accepted to complete transactions, according to an article in The New York Times.

eBay also plans to launch a revamped search engine to give buyers looking for a specific item options to buy at a fixed price or via auction, according to a Reuters story.

"I'd say this is the most fundamental change we've made, ever, to the marketplace," Lorrie Norrington, president of eBay marketplace operations, told Reuters. "It's a huge shift from where we've been."

San Jose, Calif.-based eBay reported in July that second-quarter net earnings grew to $460.3 million, or 35 cents a share, up from $375.8 million a year ago. But the boost came largely from sales growth in the company's PayPal division; transactions at eBay's Marketplace grew only 8 percent, compared with double-digit growth in previous quarters.

Depends what you are using it for. There are some nice ones out now with 5 or 6 pixels. Generally if you are going for just snapshots you won't need more than 5 pixels.

Amazon.com quietly unveiled on Tuesday new online-payment services it will offer to other online merchants--a move that puts it in direct competition with eBay's PayPal and Google's Google checkout. The Seattle-based e-tailer describes Checkout by Amazon as a "complete checkout solution," with features such as Amazon's "one-click" payment option and tools for managing shipping charges, sales tax, and promotions. Google introduced a similar online payment processing system called Google Checkout in 2006, but analysts say it has been slow to catch on with merchants and consumers. Amazon also unveiled Amazon Simple Pay, a service that allows consumers to use their Amazon account information to pay for purchases on other Web sites. However, as a competitor of PayPal, it's unlikely that Simple Pay will be accepted for purchases on eBay. In 2006, eBay banned its customers from using Google Checkout, according to its accepted payments policy.

You are most welcome Pauly. Yes, I do not want to get ban for spamming my links as I do not gain much by having you sign up over there.

The techniques are very easy to understand and I am sure an ebay seller can able to make extra income even if their auction does not sell. I use to make more then 500% ROI when I started this techniques even if my auction does not get any bid.

But .... here is the small part of my technique which I can share with your members.

There is no better place to get traffic to your eBay affiliate site then from eBay itself. If you are an eBay seller then you can simply encourage people to visit your About Me Page from your auctions.

5k a month is still nothing to be sneezed at...congrats on finding a way to make things work. Do you think they have a flawed program there or is it just the process of changing over to their network from CJ thats the problem? I know people who still haven't made a single sale thats shown up yet although they've sent hundreds of clicks. They always had sales before.

lol..how much income you are looking to earn for two hours of work every day...so that you can sneeze properly?

Some times EPN link does not set cookie in the user's computer and that's the biggest problem which I know...

I wouldn't ask you to divulge all your secret money making strategies but if you have any tips to pass on here and there I'm sure forum users would appreciate it.

Do you just use eBay or you have other affiliates? I have others but eBay was my biggest moneymaker.

Good luck on finding a programmer. I can't find one thats been reliable. I'm thinking of learning programing myself. You know what they say, if you want a job done properly do it yourself.
